‘The Unlikely Story of Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre’. John Topliff.

We had no idea of its success, particularly when our first event took place with an audience of two. Me and John. We didn’t have Mandy then. 2011.

When you read the book it is eye opening for us too.

‘ The Story is the Thing’ belongs to so many writers and journalists.

It is what 3MT was all about: a three minute play, poem, comedy, monologue, song, musical and story. Each three minutes long. It is exactly how we started in Afflecks in 2010.

It grew into something we could never believe would happen.

Our audience did the work they needed to do. We were a progression point. A starting point. Some of it was dodgy and some of it was great. Greatness can belong to anyone.

and at book launches soon to be arranged. We just want to see you again. It’s been too long. Too many distractions allowing us to be free to care about art and each other.

We want to hold on to this method of developing art by attracting those less able to communicate. Gina is grasping this too. She is less able to get around and communicate in the way she loves to, through art forms.
